Rito Kids on iPad and iPhone — tracing the letter M in the Icy Land — The Icy Land Adventure, on iPad, iPhone & Android

Three steps to proud little writers.

No worksheets to print, no tears at the kitchen table. Just a penguin who knows how letters work.

Pick your letters

Start with capitals, grow into cursive — the same path kids follow at school, one letter at a time.

Trace, and Rito cheers

The Icy Land Adventure guides every stroke with instant, teacher-informed feedback — so kids learn it right the first time.

Earn stars, make it yours

Stars dress up Rito — and milestones become hand-written cards kids send to their parents. Fridge material.

Loved by kids. Trusted by parents.

Everything a grown-up wants to know is one tap away — and nothing gets between a child and the joy of writing.

Instant feedback

Wrong direction? Rito notices right away — mistakes get fixed before they become habits.

A friendly guide

Rito is always nearby with advice, every step of the way. Nobody practises alone.

Truly theirs

Collected stars unlock hats, colours and outfits — a penguin as unique as its writer.

Parents in the loop

Follow progress letter by letter, and set gentle time limits that end sessions kindly.

From the first day he used Rito Kids, we noticed a significant change. It helped him practise correct letter formation in a fun, interactive way — and his frustration melted away.

From a student project to an award-winning app.

Rito Kids started in 2021 in Cluj-Napoca as Manuscrito, with a simple idea: technology should help children learn the fundamentals, starting with handwriting.

The feedback engine uses Artificial Intelligence developed specifically to guide children as they learn to write by hand. Statistics for parents and teachers show not only the effort the little ones put in, but above all their progress.

Along the way, the project took 1st place at national and international competitions such as Microsoft Imagine Cup, Innovation Labs and Innovators for Children.
